Cancel a license and create a new one

 

 

NinjaTrader users with Precision Trading Systems licenses only

 

Open NinjaTrader control centre and click > help > about and locate the Machine id number

On the 3rd line down in NinjaTrader 7

On the 5th line down in NinjaTrader 8

 

  1. Provide the Precision Trading Systems product name you have.

  2. NinjaTrader machine id number you wish to cancel

  3. The new machine id number you want your license assigned to.

  4. Make the payment

Handling duplicate machine id numbers

Sometimes machine id numbers can be duplicated, meaning more than one person has the same number.

Everything you need to know about duplicate NinjaTrader 8 machine id numbers.

Vendor name = PrecisionTradingSystems

1. First of all email the customer and explain they have a duplicate machine id number to someone else in your license module.

2. Ask your customer to go to NinjaTrader control centre, click on help menu and then 3rd party licensing menu.

3. In the window that appears type the following into the Vendor Name field "your vendor name" which will be as it appears in your license code in the code developer.

4. In the "user defined id" field type (without quotes) "JohnSmith" ( or whatever the customer name is)

5.  Then you ask the customer to click on submit and copy the generated machine id number which will be the same as before but

will have a 64566216FSD66566565662-JohnSmith added on the end.

 

6. Paste the new number into an email and send it back to you the vendor and then you can add it to the NinjaTrader license module.
