The Olympic delivery authority (ODA) and Newham council have jointly announced plans to construct a CAR BOMB SCREENING PLAZA DIRECTLY OPPOSITE THE ICONA BUILDING in Warton road.

Many Landlords remain unaware of this endangerment of the lives of residents at the Icona building, as the only information given has been a few leaflets placed in the foyer of the building.

 It is well known that terrorists attack the closest place they can get to crowded events at the entrances. If a car bomb was detected and exploded at this location which is a mere 9 metres from the residential building, it would surely cause many casualties to those who are residents.

The final decision is due to be announced on January 26th 2011. The plaza is planned to operate 24 hours a day 7 days a week, causing a lot of disturbance to those living close by.
